Interior Wood Painting – By FVC Global, Fuerteventura
Interior wood painting for a client who has a villa in Triquivijate,, Fuerteventura. Interior wood finishes to be painted in every room including doors and kitchen cupboards.
The key to any interior wood painting is firstly preparation and the paint you use.
- sand paper
- masking tape
- undercoat/base coat
- top coat ie satin or gloss etc
- quality paint brushes
- floor protection etc
Ensure all surfaces and floors are covered with some type of covering for protection. Rub down all wood work to remove any unsightly brush marks or drips from a previous decorator, also it helps with your painting application, fill with filler any needed holes etc (rub down when dry). Tidy up all dust and then masking tape areas that may accidentally get touched by a paint brush, you’ll be surprised how many people don’t do this but it also saves time at the end. Apply the undercoat or base coat – ensure all brush strokes are equal to provide a great looking finish, by applying this layer it will help protect any unwanted chipping in the future. Then when thoroughly dried you can apply the top coat, again make sure you brush with even strokes to avoid unwanted drips, it’s really important that you use a good quality paint brush so you don’t lose any hairs in your paint work. Follow these steps for a superior and professional finish.
